My Family
"I've told you these things for a purpose: that my joy might be your joy, and your joy wholly mature. This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you. This is the very best way to love. Put your life on the line for your friends. You are my friends when you do the things I command you."

Dancing Monkey
One week until her three month birthday, I was able to capture Mikayla showing off her monkey-like dancing skills - she definitely takes after her father! Wow, to say time has flown by is the understatement of the summer. Long enough she needs to wear six month pj's, Mikayla is growing in front of my eyes.

Welcome Mikayla
Seventeen days ago I gave birth to Mikayla Ann Horner. Time has flown by since that amazing day and if it were not for all the pictures we have, I'm sure I wouldn't believe two and a half weeks have already passed. Motherhood is simply amazing! Who would have thought waking up several times in the middle of the night, changing poopy diapers, having your life turned upside down and completely taking care of another could be so absolutely fantastic? I love being a mom!!!
Now that I have my beautiful daughter and am getting to know her and love her more each day I can say...I did not enjoy pregnancy!!! =-) I say that with a smile on my face because it was worth every moment, but I am SOOO happy to have my present from God in this world and no longer in me. Here's a pic taken 12:00am on the 10th - right before we walked out the door to the hospital.
Contractions started irregularly at 4am on the 9th. They became regular and intense at 10:30pm. We arrived at the hospital at 12:30am on the 10th and I happily received an epidural somewhere around 2:30am. After an hour and a half of pushing Mikayla was born at 6:06
am May 10, 2010. Shane was able to help guide her out and onto my chest. Here Shane is cutting the umbilical cord.
